As co-founder of IMI with his brother, Mike, Dan is IMI’s principal partner in charge of all marketing and technology operations. During his nearly 25 years of experience working in senior level marketing and sales positions, Dan has concentrated his efforts on developing innovative direct marketing, lead generation and lead tracking programs for the real estate industry’s most prominent developers.
Dan has spearheaded IMI’s initiative to be the resort real estate industry’s leader in technology. Overseeing an internal investment of nearly $4 million since 2000, Dan has taken a lead role in the development of IMI’s technology division: a division that boasts a proprietary client database program populated with over 300,000 highly affluent luxury real estate prospects. In addition, under Dan’s leadership, IMI ‘s technology division developed and manages a customized lead tracking software program, RSMS, which is made exclusively available to developers represented by IMI.
Dan is a University of Georgia graduate, a licensed real estate broker in South Carolina and an active member in both the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Dan and his wife Reba have two children, Russell and Rebecca.
Mike Collins, co-founder of IMI along with his brother Dan, is the keeper of IMI’s overall vision – to design, implement and fully manage integrated marketing and sales programs that attract the most sophisticated and discriminating resort real estate prospects leading to the generation of sales.
Mike is IMI’s principal partner in charge of business development and all sales operations. He is passionately dedicated to enhancing the company’s processes at every turn, making them more seamless, more focused and ultimately more successful for each of IMI’s clients. Since 1990 his training and mentoring of talented sales executives has resulted in a world class team of IMI sales professionals that are second to none within the industry.
Possessing an uncanny ability to read the next industry trend, Mike’s guidance has been instrumental in the growth of IMI’s leadership in the sales and marketing of luxury real estate. He has helped create and foster key leaderships with some of North America’s premier real estate developers such as Intrawest, East West Partners, Hyatt Development Corporation, Highlands Management Group, Viceroy Hotel Group, Crescent Real Estate Equities and Sun International. Mike’s ability to understand the needs of the developer and develop programs to meet or exceed the requirements commonly imposed by lenders and financial partners has fueled IMI’s growth, making IMI the industry leader in the sale and marketing of luxury real estate.
Mike Collins has been a creative businessman and entrepreneur for many years. While attending college he initiated and managed several small companies. Upon graduation Mike held a position in the Hyatt Hotels National Management Training program. His first venture into real estate came as an off-site sale during his first five months in the industry. This success shaped the foundation for the business model that is now IMI.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Mike is a licensed real estate broker in South Carolina and an active member in both the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Ron Rasmussen is IMI’s Principal Partner for Operations, providing daily oversight for IMI’s project and sales operations. One of IMI’s most distinguishing competitive advantages is its ability to facilitate seamless transactions: to execute contracts, arrange financing, and facilitate the close of transactions. Ron’s group at IMI not only accomplishes these goals, but they do so with white-glove customer service. In short, the critical component of IMI’s business that Ron manages makes the most cumbersome tasks manageable; and his success is in the numbers: more than $7 billion in closings since IMI’s inception.
Ron’s skillful guidance at IMI comes as no surprise to those who know him. Graduated from the E. Claiborne Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond, Ron spent 12 years at First Union National Bank (now Wells Fargo) before joining IMI. During his time at First Union, Ron was fast tracked by this bank’s senior management, holding the positions of Mortgage & Consumer Banking Manager, City Executive, and ultimately Area Executive. He also played a critical role in developing performance measurements for all of First Union’s 2,000 branches.
Ron is currently a full member in the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He was also part of the first ULI South Carolina Sustainable Leadership Group and has served on numerous ULI Technical Assistance Panels. Ron is also integrally involved in the Greenville, SC community. He is the board chairman at “The First Tee of Greenville,” He also serves on the American Red Cross Wine Auction Advisory Board and served on the Board of Greenville’s Child. Greenville Magazine voted Ron among 1997′s Best & Brightest Under The Age of 35, and he was a graduate of the Greenville Chamber’s Leadership Greenville Class XIX.
Robert A. (Rob) Haney has combined over two decades of residential land and construction development with two decades of real estate brokerage services. Rob has extensive domain knowledge of residential development, construction management, property management, and real estate marketing and sales. Rob started his career in the Vail Valley of Colorado where he successfully developed hundreds of second homes and primary residences. In the spring of 2004, he established his main business operations in the Carolinas. Since relocating, he has developed numerous luxury neighborhoods, achieving nationally recognized residential success. Rob is currently a licensed residential general contractor and real estate broker in the state of South Carolina specializing in national OREO management and liquidation services.
Rob received a Masters in International Business from George Washington University and Bachelor of Business Administration / Real Estate / Entrepreneurship from Baylor University.
Darrell Whitaker comes from a varied business background and has held several executive positions in nationwide companies for over 25 years, focusing on areas such as finance and operations. Prior to joining IMI in January 2004, he served as Chief Operating Officer at The Cliffs Communities, Inc. As Chief Operating Officer for IMI, Darrell is responsible for the overall financial aspects of the company, including day-to-day operations of IMI and its subsidiaries, long-range strategic planning with current and future business initiatives and budgeting. A graduate of the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg, Darrell received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. He is a licensed certified public accountant and a real estate broker in the state of South Carolina. Darrell currently resides in Greenville, SC, with his wife, Teresa, and their son and daughter. During their spare time, the family explores the great outdoors by playing golf, snow skiing, hiking or enjoying water sports.
Scott has more than 25 years of experience in creatively marketing, positioning, and leading the strategy and storytelling for some of the country’s most well-known private communities and destinations.
Scott's service to the real estate industry started with a Masters Degree in Urban Planning from Clemson University’s School of Architecture. Scott's passion for resort real estate projects ignited to a full burn following his successful master plan and site development of a large golf resort residential community which resulted in the tripling of the county’s tax base. This led Scott to focus his creative place-making energies to include partnership in one of the country’s most sought after resort real estate marketing and branding firms, serving 20 years as partner and brand leader. Prior to joining IMI, Scott also held the position of President of Corporate Branding for The Cliffs Communities for 6 years, leading the marketing effort resulting in more than $2 billion in real estate sales and 3,000 families buying and becoming members of The Cliffs.
Scott worked closely with IMI from a unique perspective - the developer’s side - on many community launches and projects. Scott witnessed IMI's operation first hand from the inside, growing a profound respect for the seamless and successful process IMI had created and leading to unmatched market price and absorption increases.
Scott is a Clemson University graduate where he was the captain of the swim team, earned a Masters of Urban Planning Degree, is a licensed real estate executive in South Carolina, and an active member in the Urban Land Institute. Scott and his wife Lynn have two children, Jarrett and Ryan.
Chris Collins brings more than 20 years of senior management experience working domestically and abroad to his role as Senior Director of Marketing Operations for IMI. Leveraging significant leadership and broad industry experience, Chris leads ongoing corporate strategy development, strategic marketing, product marketing and corporate communications functions. Chris’ teams are responsible for generating programs that increase demand for all IMI real estate developments, assessing and targeting key customer segments, and building the company’s brand and customer awareness.
Chris holds a Bachelor degree from Lees McRae College. Chris currently resides in Greenville, SC, with his family.
Prior to joining IMI, John served as president of sales and marketing for LXR Luxury Resorts (LXR). Previously, he also held the position of Resort Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples, and spent eight years as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Boca Resorts, Inc. (BRI), a collection of Florida resorts and clubs.
John’s career includes his service as Senior Vice President of the Los Angeles–based International Hotel Academy, parent company of Grand Wailea Resort & Spa on Maui and the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. He also held executive sales and marketing positions with the El Conquistador in Puerto Rico and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in various locations including Honolulu, Waikoloa on the Island of Hawaii, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C.

With more than 20 years of sales and business experience, Paris Fruscione has been all over North America selling luxury real estate. Since graduating from the University of Nevada with degrees in Marketing and Management, Paris has worked in corporate development and with all aspects of sales in luxury real estate. When he met IMI principal Mike Collins they realized a kindred spirit in business. “We share the same business sense and desire to streamline the sales process, creating a greater value for both the developer and the buyer,” Paris said. And the rest, as they say, is history. After almost five years of working at different IMI projects – Hokuli’a in Hawaii, Hacienda in Cabo San Lucas, and then Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic – Paris is now President of IMI Sales. “IMI is the leader in representing the luxury real estate market and is committed to leading the industry into the future. Having sold over $7B in luxury resort residences and with over $750M currently under management, IMI is the acknowledged industry leader for luxury resort sales and marketing. Mr. Day provides strategic direction for IMI sales operations in projects located in the Caribbean region. Most recently, Mr. Day directed worldwide sales teams for the new $3.5B Bahamas resort, Baha Mar. For the first 18 years of his career, Mr. Day was a practicing attorney in Texas specializing in complex business litigation. During his days as an attorney, Mr. Day also developed commercial and residential real estate in the United States while providing legal counsel to other developers. In 2000, Mr. Day founded B2B Media, Inc., an award winning creative marketing company that provides strategic counsel and services to every major United States telecommunications company. Mr. Day holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Real Estate and Law) from the Hankamer School at Baylor University and a Juris Doctorate from the Baylor University School of Law. He currently lives in Greenville, South Carolina.
Tricia has successfully managed and sold over $2+ billion dollars in resort real estate sales in North America for IMI with an emphasis in the Colorado Rocky Mountains for over 20 years.
She was awarded the prestigious Gold ARDY two years in a row by the American Resort and Development Association as a sales person with IMI. This award is presented to the top overall resort real estate salesperson in North America for outstanding sales accomplishments.
She has continued to be a leader in her field directing and managing over a dozen premier real estate developments successfully for IMI, selling out many in record time.
Notable projects have included: Ritz Carlton Residences Vail, One Ski Hill Place/Breckenridge, Summit Sky Ranch/Silverthorne, Hyatt Mountain Lodge/Beaver Creek, Main Street Station/Breckenridge, and Martis Camp/Lake Tahoe.
She continues to be a master innovator in the luxury resort real estate market by leveraging strategic initiatives to capitalize on emerging real estate trends.
Tricia lives with her family in Breckenridge, Colorado.
