Ron Rasmussen - Principal Partner, Operations

Ron Rasmussen is IMI’s Principal Partner for Operations, a role in which he is one of the company’s three managing partners, and has daily oversight for IMI’s financial service offerings and sales operations. One of IMI’s most distinguishing competitive advantages is its ability to facilitate seamless transactions: to execute contracts, arrange financing, and facilitate the close of transactions. Ron’s group at IMI not only accomplishes these goals, but they do so with white-glove customer service. In short, the critical component of IMI’s business that Ron manages makes the most cumbersome tasks manageable; and his success is in the numbers: more than $5 billion in closings since IMI’s inception.

Ron’s skillful guidance at IMI comes as no surprise to those who know him. Graduated from the E. Claiborne Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond, Ron spent 12 years at First Union National Bank (now Wachovia) before joining IMI. In his stint at First Union, Ron was fast tracked by this bank’s senior management, holding the positions of Mortgage & Consumer Banking Manager, City Executive, and ultimately Area Executive. He also played a critical role in developing performance measurements for all of First Union’s 2,000 branches.

Ron is currently an active member in the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is also integrally involved in the Greenville, SC community. He sits on the board of “Upstate Golf Ball for Junior Golf,” a charity benefiting all upstate Junior Golf programs. He also serves on the American Red Cross Wine Auction Advisory Board and served on the Board of Greenville’s Child. Greenville Magazine voted Ron among 1997′s Best & Brightest Under The Age of 35, and he was a graduate of the Greenville Chamber’s Leadership Greenville Class XIX. Ron and Nan, his wife of 25 years, have two children: Whit, 17 and Nell Gray, 13.
